Wilkes-Barre/Scranton @ Hershey Postgame Reactions

The Bears sent the Penguins marching back up I-81, capturing their seventh win in eight games this season.  Today's game reinforced the fact that this team will find any way to win.  In the wake of arguably the worst period of hockey this team has played to date, the Chocolate and White managed to rally from three goals down not only to win, but to do so in regulation.

Hershey has now won 17 straight games on home ice and has established its second 10-game winning streak of the year.  As always, my game recap is available on the Bears' site.

What's better than a win over the Penguins?  Two wins over the Penguins in one day (and in parallel fashion, no less).  The symmetry between the Caps/Pens and Bears/Baby Pens games was staggering:
  • Both the Caps and Bears overcame three-goal deficits
  • Both the Caps and Bears won 5-4 (although the Bears did it in regulation, the Caps in OT)
  • Each team was helped by a hat trick effort (Caps- Ovechkin, Bears- Perreault)
  • Ovi and Perry both notched assists on their teams' respective game-winning goals

After staging their biggest comeback of the season, Head Coach Mark French, Mathieu Perreault and Bryan Helmer reflect on today's effort.
